Clamping point
・The workpiece's gripping point (i.e., gripping point distance) should be within the pressure-clamping force lines shown on the effective gripping force diagram.
・If the gripping point is outside the gripping force diagram's operating range, excessive side loads will be applied to the finger sliding area, seriously shortening the gripper's service life.
Effective clamping force
・The effective gripping force in the diagram to the right refers to the state in which all four fingers and accessories are in full contact with the workpiece. As shown in the diagram below, the thrust acting on one finger is represented by F.
・If one pair of fingers on opposite sides grips the workpiece while the other pair is used for positioning, the gripping force of the MHS4 series should be the same as that of the MHS2 series.
